Big White Ski Resort

Big White Canada remains tucked away in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, famed for being BC’s second-largest ski resort and Canada’s largest ski-in/ski-out resort.

When it comes to the snow at Big White it truly is amazing, epic many skiers and snowboarders say. It’s the driest and fluffiest powder that will ever grace your freshly waxed ski’s and snowboards. The resort itself goes by the motto “IT’S THE SNOW” and for good reason! It comes as no surprise that ski and snowboard enthusiasts flock back each year for their champagne powder fix.

What truly sets this resort apart from the rest is its accessibility around the mountain, varied terrain, tree skiing and its fantastic laid back atmosphere. With ski-in/ski-out access on your doorstep, life couldn’t get more convenient. The hub of Big White is its village centre, which also forms part of a piste run. It’s quite an experience to ski from the supermarket with groceries in hand back to your exceptional accommodation to kick back and relax after a day on the slopes.

Accommodation

Your accommodation in Big White is seriously special. In fact, words cannot describe how breathtaking your home for the winter actually is, providing more than you could possibly dream of for the entire season.

Most importantly, we’ve made sure they’re ski-in/ski-out, meaning you can be on the mountain for first lift to last call and leave the days of walking to the lift or getting a bus to the resort far behind you. What’s more, you’re guaranteed some of those first fresh powder day tracks before anyone else can get up the mountain!

We do not include a shuttle to the slopes, because you just ski or board out of the front door 🙂

Extremely luxurious accommodation, which you can really enjoy and call ‘home’.

There’s nothing like riding back to your door after an epic day shred, then chilling out in an enormous hot tub on your own private balcony, catching up with your buddies about your day on the mountain. We won’t even mention the epic mountain views creating the ultimate hot tub backdrop – at times you won’t even believe it’s real.

Big White Apres

For those who look forward to further fun after an epic day on the slopes there are plenty of après ski haunts available to visit. With a great selection of  bars/lounges in the village you will be spoilt for choice.

A personal favourite of ours is Snowshoe Sam’s, an establishment voted the no.1 après ski bar in the whole of North America. It’s a fantastic venue with live bands, bar games and endless entertainment.  We also have our live in reps with you all season creating and organising lots of ‘off snow’ events to keep you busy as well! If après is not your thing though, then stay on the hill and enjoy even more time on snow with access to night skiing on selected nights during the week.

However the joy of Big White’s apres, is its buzzing and friendly atmosphere.

Everyone is super relaxed and keen to enjoy themselves meeting new people. Don’t be alarmed to strike up a conversation about the snow that day with a stranger at the bar or be invited to a late night house party. As hard as it is taking yourself off the mountain each day, you just can’t beat the community feel when indulging in a spot of socialising in bars around Big White.

Big White Terrain

A delight for any skier or snowboarder. Big White’s terrain truly is a natural winter playground, packed full of everything you could wish for and more!

Steeps, groomers, off piste, glades, bumps, rollers, power bowls and a terrain park, Big White has it all. It’s a fantastic mountain to improve your skiing and snowboarding due to its diverse and sprawling terrain. You can not be anywhere better to develop your skills on Big Whites wide blue open runs, cruisy greens and fast blacks. If we was going to design mountain terrain for improvement and instructor training tomorrow, the result would be Big White.
