Elena completed NothinButSnow’s level 1 & 2 snowboard instructor course in April 2016. She along with a bunch of other NBS graduates will be returning to Big White Ski Resort to work as a snowboard instructor this winter.
We caught up with Elena who had these words of advice to anyone looking to follow in her footsteps.
“NBS was the best 12 weeks of my life so far. There is no doubt my NBS experience was insane, but honestly I can’t wait for the many more epic experiences I’m now going to have thanks to NBS. It is such an awesome course to not only give you a great experience but to also give you the tools you need afterward to take it to that next level. My best advice for someone planning on using their qualification after NBS starts day one! I can say there is definitely a great vibe that comes with being part of NBS and throughout the season you want to be the person adding to it not taking away from it. It’ll rub off on your mates and more importantly on the instructors that will feel more inclined to see you succeed! Not only that but they are the people who can recommend you for a position at Biggie’s own ski school or be that reliable reference that you need for another mountain. This also means pushing through that nasty hangover and making sure you’re in lessons everyday! Trust me that fresh mountain air is going to have it gone before you know it! Good luck!” Elena
